Partners Remember the high school dances? How hard it was sometimes to find a partner? Door County Habitat for Humanity is facing the same situation! We need a partner. Not a dance partner, but a building partner...somebody we can help by building a decent stable home together. Habitat has the volunteer workers and the necessary finances. We'd just like to find somebody to invite to the dance. If that sounds like you or somebody you know, please get in touch with Door County Habitat for Humanity at 920-743-2869. Fill out a few simple forms and leave everything else up to Habitat to qualify you or your friend. It's easier than getting a date for the big dance, plus we'll even chip in for free soda! |

A Brush With Kindness
![]() What is it? For some years now Habitat for Humanity International has been helping existing homeowners with painting and minor repair projects. In Door County A Bruch With Kindness was started in 2010. It's intended to help elderly, handicapped, and low income families to fix up their homes. Typical projects include re-roofing houses, building wheelchair ramps, scraping and painting home exteriors, and doing necessary minor repairs. Just as with Habitat for Humanity's home building program, A Brush With Kindness involves the homeowners in the work as well. Sometimes a church or charity will cover the costs and other times the residents will help pay for the work. It all depends on the individual situation. If you know of a person who could use this kind of help, have them fill out an application form at Door County Habitat for Humanity. If you'd like to contribute your time and/or money to A Brush With Kindness, please contact the very same place! |
